We had a very warped and saggy deck, and called Derek Barnes Construction to fix it. Derek came out to take a look and provide a quote, we accepted and they started work right after the materials were delivered. The job was completed in two days and we LOVE it! The material recommendations were appreciated and we also appreciated both Derek's and Tom's professionalism. We are very much enjoying our new deck :)

I highly recommend Derek Barnes Construction for home improvement jobs, big or small. Derek returns calls and texts promptly, is courteous, and provides expert advice on how to tackle a project in the most economical manner without sacrificing quality of workmanship. Derek and his helper Tom are true professionals. They arrive to work on time and work tirelessly until the job is done. Derek and Tom are meticulous in cleaning the area after each work day. Thanks to Derek we have a new sturdy back deck and front stairs that meet current safety requirements and looks beautiful. Derek and Tom also cleaned the gutters without charge. He is a gem, and will be utilized for any future repair/improvement project.

When the job day came, he was early, and he and his team worked nearly nonstop to ensure they stuck to schedule. And the care and quality of work far exceeded any expectations I had. I highly recommend Derek Barnes Construction. When I first contacted them, Karen returned my call immediately and scheduled a time for Derek to come by. Derek spent 2 hours with me going over everything I wanted. They recently installed new windows and doors, replaced all outside window and door trim with composite and rebuilt the deck. Derek offered some very good suggestions. The price was fair and did not change. The work was high quality and completed on time. They cleaned up nicely every day. Derek, Tom, Kyle and Karen make a great team and I will definitely use them for any future projects.

He is humble to take your suggestions and will bring in great ideas. His right hand man Tommy is ensures things are moving in right direction. They both make a great team.

Derek and Tom did a great job. I had a variety of tasks from repairing rot on my deck to removing butterfly nails and moving pictures. They handled it all and had a great attitude while working with me. Highly recommend to help you get projects done.

The project included the removal of all shingles from my house, the installation of house wrap and new vinyl siding and the installation of new gutters and exterior lighting. Very quick and easy process for pricing and scheduling of the work. Attention to detail was very impressive. Highly recommended.

I highly recomend Derek Barnes construction. I recently bought my first house (it needed a ton of work) he came out next day and gave an estimate, and started the job the same week! He powerwashed,scraped and painted the entire exterior of my home including trim, and rebuilt our large back deck and put a beautiful finish on it and when the job was complete I couldn't find a trace of paint chips or drips anywhere he definitely takes pride in his work, and his crew was so friendly and polite. My home looks brand new! I'll definitely be calling him for the interior this winter!
